For Friday
Open a document in Drive. Name it - The 24/7 Society
Work for 60 minutes
Read the articles in the preparation material.

For each article answer these questions:
1. What is the main issue?
2. Choose one or two quotes.
3. How does this article connect with the topic 24/7?
4. Do you agree or disagree with the article?
5. Explain any unfamiliar words.

Important that you come prepared. You may not participate in the discussions otherwise.

Listen to 3 songs in Lyric Training

Look up all the words that are new to you and add them to your wordlist

Open a new document in Drive - name it Lyric Traing. Write which songs you listened to and on which level. Make sure to choose songs which challenge you.

On Friday - Short presentation in front of the class. Tell which songs you listened to and pick 3 words you learnt and explain them to the class. In English.

Homework for Friday 27/9

Until Friday I challenge you to practice English in your daily life. Watch movies without subtitles in Swedish. Look up new words and add them to your Wordlist. Play Lyrics Training. Watch TEDTalks or SourceFed or Vsauce or Crash Course with John Green. Find a PenPal. When you show up on Friday you will write and tell me about what you have learnt. And how you did it.

1. Choose an article to read.
2. Pick 10 words (or more) that you think are useful.
3. Add them to your wordlist.
4. Translate them in their context (meaning - look up what the word means in this sentence)
5. Prepare to tell your peers about your article
6. Open a document in Drive that looks something like this.

Homework for Thursday 6/12-12

First - comment on two other students' Lucille-endings. Then rewrite your own and finish it. You will read it in class (in a small group) on Thursday.
Second - find 5 fantastic facts about J K Rowlings. These will be spoken in class on Thursday.

Mentally prepare for writing about this disastrous holiday on Thursday. Think about where you went (which resort), what went wrong and what kind of compensation you expect.

Homework Thursday 30/8

Continue working with wordlists and the questions to the news clips. Work for one hour where you are focused on your task. If you do not finish anyway, then that is still enough.

In school on Thursday I will test you on some of the words from these news stories. You will get some words in English and some in Swedish.
